What does it cost to change my flight?

If changing your flight(s) is allowed by the airline, costs always apply. Below we explain how these costs are calculated and what to expect:

The total cost of a flight change can consist of

  • Fare difference: if the new flight is more expensive than your original booking, you pay the difference.
  • Fixed change fees: this includes fees from the airline and our service charge.
  • Costs for extra services: such as seat reservations or checked baggage. These may be cancelled and might need to be purchased again, as airlines link these to the original flight(s).

You can request the total fees by

  • Submitting a change request in MyTrips.
  • We will check if the change is allowed, if the requested flights are available and costs incur
  • You will then receive a personal quote per e-mail including:
    • An overview of the total change costs.
    • A payment link to confirm the change, if desired.

Note: as long as you have not confirmed the change by payment, your original booking remains unchanged.

Good to know

  • Change fees can vary greatly depending on the airline, destination, and travel period.
  • For flights departing within 24–48 hours, changes are sometimes limited or no longer possible.
  • A change is only confirmed after you have received the new ticket per e-mail. Even after payment, in rare occasions, changes cannot be confirmed with the airline. In this case, we will inform you accordingly.
