What should I do if there is a strike or issue affecting my flight?

Always check the airline’s information first

In case of strikes or other irregularities (such as bad weather or staff shortages), it’s important to follow the airline’s official updates. They should be the first to inform you about:

  • Cancellations or delays;
  • Alternative flight(s) or rebooking;
  • Possible compensation.

Can I change or cancel my flight?

That depends on the situation. In the event of a strike or cancellation, the airline often offers one of the options below:

  • Free rebooking to another flight;
  • Full refund of the ticket (if delay is bigger than at least 3 to 5 hours, depending on the airline).

What can we do for you?

We can only provide assistance within the rules and conditions set by the airline. Our role is to support airlines with tasks such as rebookings, but our options are more limited than those of the airline itself - especially in cases of last-minute disruptions. We do not have the authority to take actions outside the airline’s established policies. If you experience any irregularities, you are always entitled to contact the airline directly for assistance. This is your legal right, and it is the airline’s legal obligation to provide support.

Am I entitled to compensation?

This is outside our scope to inform you on, but depending on the situation you may be entitled to compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004. For more information, please reach out to your local authorities or consumer body.

Often, for force majeure situations, no compensation will be granted by airlines.
