It depends on the airline, the route, and the type of animal, wether you are allowed to bring a pet. Bringing your pet is often very costly.
Conditions vary per airline
Not all airlines allow pets on board. Some animals may travel in the cabin, others only in hold, while some airlines refuse pets at all (service animals excluded). There are also rules regarding the type, weight, and size of your pet and the carrier or kennel.
Always contact the airline in advance
Ask about:
- Whether your pet is allowed on your flight
- Whether this is in the cabin or in hold
- The maximum dimensions of the kennel or bag
- Any medical requirements (vaccinations, documents)
- Costs for transport
- Make sure you have the following details ready: breed, weight, age, dimensions of the kennel/bag, and type of transport (cabin or hold).
Booking a pet
You can only add your pet to your booking directly through the airline. The airline will process this immediately and charge any applicable fees.
Note: There is usually a limited number of spots available for pets per flight. So don’t wait too long to arrange it.
Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with adding a pet to your booking. Due to the specific nature of this 'baggage' and the risk of not being able to take your pet when at the airport, we do not service for this type of baggage.
