What are the cancellation conditions for low-cost airlines?

Low-cost airlines (such as Ryanair, WizzAir, EasyJet, Transavia, Vueling, etc.) often have strict and inflexible conditions.

This means

  • No refunds are granted.
  • These airlines assume that some passengers will not show up, and thus is active cancelation not needed (or not even possible).
  • In such cases, you can sometimes request a "no-show declaration" directly from the airline, but only after all flights commenced (eg. for your insurance).
